SETD6 — SET domain containing 6, protein lysine methyltransferase
SETD6 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 1 of 30 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function
Protein-lysine N-methyltransferase. Monomethylates 'Lys-310' of the RELA subunit of NF-kappa-B complex, leading to down-regulation of NF-kappa-B transcription factor activity. Monomethylates 'Lys-8' of H2AZ (H2AZK8me1). Required for the maintenance of embryonic stem cell self-renewal (By similarity). Methylates PAK4.
