Why this annotation
This module is strongly coherent with high mean expression (2.168) and high detection rate (75.5%), expressed uniformly across subsets. The hub genes are dominated by MHC class II molecules: HLA-DPB1, HLA-DQB1, HLA-DQA1, HLA-DRB1, HLA-DRA, HLA-DPA1, HLA-DMA, HLA-DOA, HLA-DQA2, and CD74 (invariant chain, essential for MHC-II peptide loading and trafficking). CTSZ (cathepsin Z, lysosomal protease for antigen processing), LYZ (lysozyme, antimicrobial/phagocytic), LGALS2 (galectin-2), and PLEK (pleckstrin, myeloid signaling) are also present. This is a canonical MHC class II antigen presentation module — the core program of professional antigen-presenting cells. The uniform expression across DC subsets is expected. This is the clearest and most confident module in the batch.

Module annotations were drafted by a large language model from the module's genes, then reviewed and approved by a domain expert. See sources & licences.
