Why this annotation
The module is dominated by acute inflammatory mediators: IL1A, IL1B (IL-1 family alarmins), CCL3, CCL4, CCL4L2 (inflammatory chemokines), CXCL2, CXCL3, CXCL8 (neutrophil-recruiting CXC chemokines), PTGS2 (COX-2, prostaglandin synthesis), OSM (oncostatin M), NLRP3 (inflammasome sensor), HBEGF, HCAR2/3 (hydroxycarboxylic acid receptors activated by metabolites). This is a classic NF-κB/inflammasome-driven acute inflammatory program in cDC2s. The negative delta_inflammation may reflect that this program is transiently activated and not sustained in chronic inflammation.
