Why this annotation
Hub genes KRT20, MS4A12, SLC26A3, GUCA2A, CA4, CEACAM1, CEACAM6, PLAC8, SELENOP, GCNT3, MALL are all well-established markers of mature, differentiated colonocytes/absorptive cells. This is a clean absorptive colonocyte differentiation signature. CENPW is a minor outlier (centromere protein). The strong negative delta_remission_UC suggests this mature colonocyte program is altered in disease/remission transitions. Neighbor context with M11 (proliferating colonocytes) and M10 (regenerative) supports a colonocyte maturation axis across the batch.
