Why this annotation
The hubs EBF1, STAC, EEF1A2, CPED1 and TCEAL2 are strongly localized to a minority of EC cells (16–219x) and combine neuronal-like with mesenchymal-type regulators. The module's strong correlation (0.81–0.84) with the genuine EC neuron-like modules (RALYL/KCNH7, PCDH15/GPR158, GBX1/PAX9) favours a real EC sub-state over EC–mesenchymal doublets. The peripheral K-, I- and N-cell genes still dilute the module.

Module annotations were drafted by a large language model from the module's genes, then reviewed and approved by a domain expert. See sources & licences.
