Why this annotation
This is a core-coherence module with uniform, high detection. It is composed of ubiquitous highly expressed housekeeping genes: H3-3A, OAZ1, EIF1, ELOB, SERP1, POLR2J, POLE4 and ISCU. It also includes V-ATPase subunits (ATP6V0B, ATP6V0E1), LAMTOR5 and OxPhos subunits (ATP5F1E, UQCR11). Abundant leukocyte transcripts (S100A4, S100A6, GMFG, CD37) are also present. It parallels its neighbor M162 as a depth-linked housekeeping signature of abundant short transcripts, with no specific pathway enrichment.
