TRMT1 — TRNA methyltransferase 1
TRMT1 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 1 of 30 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function
Dimethylates a single guanine residue at position 26 of most nuclear- and mitochondrial-encoded tRNAs using S-adenosyl-L-methionine as donor of the methyl groups. tRNA guanine(26)-dimethylation is required for redox homeostasis and ensure proper cellular proliferation and oxidative stress survival.
