Why this annotation
Hub genes include HNRNPA3 and HNRNPA2B1 (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins, RNA binding/splicing), SRSF2 (serine/arginine-rich splicing factor), HNRNPH3 (splicing), NOLC1 (nucleolar/rRNA processing), DRAP1 (transcriptional co-repressor), ENY2 (transcription/mRNA export), LAMTOR2 (endosomal/lysosomal signaling), NDUFS7 (mitochondrial complex I), and ARPC5L (actin branching). The module is moderate coherence with uniform expression across subsets and no dominant DC subset. Multiple hnRNP/SR splicing factors dominate the top PageRank positions. SELENOH is a selenoprotein involved in redox/nucleolar function. The presence of LAMTOR2 and NDUFS7 adds metabolic flavor but the dominant program is RNA splicing/processing. Compared to M45 (also splicing-heavy, mDC-enriched), M126 is more uniformly expressed and contains more hnRNP paralogs, suggesting a shared but slightly distinct splicing housekeeping program. The co-expression neighborhood of splicing modules (M45, M44, M42) supports this interpretation.
