Why this annotation
NFKBIZ (IκBζ) and MAFF are canonical NF-κB-driven immediate early response genes induced rapidly by inflammatory stimuli. PMAIP1 (NOXA) is a stress/apoptosis-related BH3-only protein induced by NF-κB and p53. NRARP modulates Notch/Wnt downstream of inflammatory signals. SRSF7, SRRM2, and RSRP1 are splicing regulators that are co-regulated during inflammatory activation. TCIM is a transcriptional co-activator linked to immune modulation. The module is significantly upregulated in UC inflammation and strongly suppressed in CD remission, consistent with an NF-κB-driven inflammatory immediate early response. Splicing factors may be co-regulated as part of the transcriptional burst.
