Why this annotation
TNF, IL1A, IL6 are canonical pro-inflammatory cytokines. CCL3, CCL4, CCL4L2 are inflammatory chemokines. PTGS2 (COX-2) drives prostaglandin synthesis. TRAF1 is an NF-κB signaling adaptor. TNFAIP6 is an NF-κB target with anti-inflammatory matrix functions. EGR3 is an early response transcription factor. This is the most canonical acute NF-κB/TNF-driven pro-inflammatory cytokine module in the batch, strongly upregulated in IBD inflammation.
