Why this annotation
Despite weak coherence, this module contains a notable cluster of antiviral/interferon-stimulated genes highly relevant to pDC biology: TLR7 (viral ssRNA sensor, key pDC PRR), STAT2 (type I IFN transcription factor), SP100 (ISG, PML nuclear body component), RNF213 (ISG with antiviral E3 ligase activity), TRIM22 (antiviral TRIM family E3 ligase). XRN1 degrades viral RNA. CMKLR1 (chemerin receptor) is expressed on pDCs and involved in their recruitment. LILRB1 is an inhibitory receptor on pDCs. SMC6 participates in DNA damage/viral DNA sensing. This is the most biologically interpretable module in the batch, reflecting a pDC-relevant innate antiviral/ISG program, though weakly co-regulated.
