SLC37A3 — Solute carrier family 37 member 3
SLC37A3 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 1 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

| Cell type | Module | Shares the module with | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neutrophils | Inflammasome Signaling Regulation Inflammatory | ADAM19, F5, MAP2K6, NLRP12, PRKACA, RNF10, TENM1 |

Function
Unlike the other SLC37 members, lacks glucose-6-phosphate antiporter activity. In osteoclasts, forms a transporter complex with ATRAID for nitrogen-containing-bisphophonates (N-BPs) required for releasing N-BP molecules that have trafficked to lysosomes through fluid-phase endocytosis into the cytosol.
