Why this annotation
This is the most coherent OxPhos module in the batch. Hub genes are almost exclusively electron transport chain and ATP synthase subunits: UQCRH (Complex III), ATP5MC2 and ATP5MC3 (ATP synthase c-subunit isoforms), ATP5F1D (ATP synthase delta subunit), COX7C (Complex IV), UQCRB (Complex III), ATP5PF (ATP synthase peripheral stalk) — 7 of 16 genes are core ETC/ATP synthase. TXN (thioredoxin) supports mitochondrial redox homeostasis. CFL1 (cofilin) and HMGB1 are peripheral. LGALS3 and C15orf48 add inflammatory/stress context. Strongly suppressed in both UC and CD inflammation (both significant) and restored by CD treatment. Highly enriched in pre_tuft cells, consistent with the metabolic demands of tuft cell differentiation.
