Why this annotation
Hub genes are a mix of housekeeping/proteostasis (SEM1/PSMB2 proteasome, CHMP2A ESCRT, UBL5), OxPhos (NDUFA13, NDUFB10, ROMO1, ATP6V1F vacuolar ATPase), and ER/membrane trafficking (RER1, TMEM50A). The only immune gene is IL2RG (common gamma chain). The module is broadly expressed (uniform, low-moderate) with no subset enrichment, suggesting a basal metabolic/housekeeping program. The mixed proteasome+OxPhos+ER signature with high inflammation correlation points to a general biosynthetic/metabolic upregulation, but the dominant theme is housekeeping metabolic machinery.
