Why this annotation
The hub genes GCG and PYY are core members and peak in L cells (6–7x), with weaker enrichment in N and INSL5 cells. They are joined by cGMP/cAMP signalling genes (PRKG1, PDE9A, PDE2A), the SGLT1 glucose sensor SLC5A1 and the L-cell-associated transcription factors ETV1 and NFIB, which together define the L-cell hormone and nutrient-sensing program; the other-lineage genes are localized to L cells, so they are not contamination.
