Why this annotation
The module is concentrated in colonic INSL5 L cells and N cells (GPA33 6.9x and VWA5B1 6.3x in INSL5 cells, SULT1B1 4.3x in N cells). It combines absorptive-epithelial genes (GPA33, SULT1B1, SLC15A1, CA2, PTK6) with endocrine and secretory genes of these subsets (PPY, UCN3, KCNC4, MYRIP, TRPM4). Because the expression is localized, this reads as an enterocyte-like state of these subsets rather than colonocyte contamination, although some ambient contribution cannot be excluded.
