Why this annotation
Hub genes (VSTM2A, HIF3A, LMNTD1, MYOCD, TNNC1, CCBE1) are enriched 20-70x almost exclusively in L cells, marking a non-hormonal L-cell-restricted program; unlike the L-cell AVPR1B/TMEM236 signature it shows little sharing with N, INSL5 or D cells. Smooth-muscle- or goblet-typical genes are localized to L cells, so they reflect genuine expression rather than contamination.
