Why this annotation
Every gene is enriched in EC cells. The hubs are excitability and identity genes, SCN3A (voltage-gated Na+ channel) and HCN1 (pacemaker channel), together with CADM2, PCSK2 and REG4. The enterocyte-, colonocyte- and B-cell-typical genes (EPB41L3, CDKN2B, SWAP70) are localized to EC cells, so they are genuine EC expression rather than contamination.
