Why this annotation
The hubs are long, intron-rich genes, but they carry a consistent L/D-cell bias including KCNB1 (Kv2.1) and FGFR1, and the module correlates tightly (~0.9) with genuine L-cell programs such as L-cell receptor/adhesion program and L-cell Accessory Program rather than with any technical module. This favours a weak neuronal-like excitability component of the L/D peptidergic branch, though a read-capture contribution cannot be excluded.
