Why this annotation
CCR6 is a hallmark chemokine receptor for mucosal/Tc17-like MAIT cell homing. FUT7 encodes a fucosyltransferase that generates selectin ligands (e.g., PSGL-1) critical for mucosal trafficking. SCART1 is expressed on γδ T and MAIT cells with tissue-homing properties. BLK is expressed in MAIT cells and linked to their unique developmental program. LGALS3 (galectin-3) modulates T cell adhesion and migration. PDCD4 is a translational repressor associated with Th17/regulatory states. The moderate coherence and many weak members reflect a mixed but predominantly mucosal-homing MAIT identity signature with some Tc17-like features.
