Why this annotation
Hub genes are highly expressed housekeeping transcripts: the chaperones HSP90AA1 and HSPA8, the mitochondrial genes NDUFS5 and SLC25A5, CALM2, HMGB1, H3-3B, TMA7, HLA-A and the epithelial marker EPCAM. Expression is uniform with core coherence. This looks like a general high-abundance housekeeping/transcript-capture axis rather than a specific program. The chaperones could hint at proteostasis, but HSPA1A/B and other heat-shock or immediate-early genes are absent, so dissociation stress is not supported. The neighbors M10 (ion pump, OxPhos, cytoskeleton) and M35 (crypt/stem-like markers) are also broad epithelial programs, which fits co-variation driven by total cellular transcript content.
