Why this annotation
This module has the lowest expression in the batch (0.002 mean, 0.2% pct positive) and is 'core' coherent, suggesting a tightly co-regulated program expressed in a very rare population. Hub genes PCP4 (Purkinje cell protein 4, canonical neuronal marker), KCNIP4 (Kv channel-interacting protein, neuronal), LRRC7 (leucine-rich repeat neuronal synaptic protein), ATRNL1 (attractin-like, neuronal), TCEAL2 (neuronal transcription elongation factor), PNCK (pregnancy upregulated neuronal CaM kinase), and ATP1A2 (Na/K-ATPase alpha-2, astrocyte/neuron-enriched) are all strongly neuronal. CASQ2 (calsequestrin-2, cardiac SR calcium store) and CTNNA3 (alpha-T-catenin, cardiac) add a muscle component. COL19A1 is expressed at neuromuscular junctions. This is most consistent with enteric neuron or enteric glial contamination, consistent with neighbor M61 which also shows neuronal signatures.
