Why this annotation
F13A1, LY86, TGFBI, PLD3, STEAP3 and CD99 are expressed in monocytes adapting to tissue and in early macrophages. In particular, F13A1 and TGFBI rise during monocyte-to-macrophage differentiation in the gut. The module is core and sits next to the classical monocyte module M28, which supports reading it as a differentiation continuum. Some other genes (CXXC5, LDHB, RUNX2) point toward a progenitor or pDC-like signal, which lowers confidence.
