Why this annotation
The genes form an IFN-inducible antiviral and autophagy program. PARP11, ZNFX1, TDRD7, XRN1, PATL1 and SPATS2L are ISG or RNA-decay antiviral factors. CGAS is a cytosolic DNA sensor and JAK2 mediates IFN signaling. NCOA7, RUFY4, STX17 and GRAMD1B are IFN-inducible endolysosomal or autophagy genes. This module complements the classic ISG modules M172 and M37.
