Why this annotation
The hub genes are SGK3, MLXIP, CRTC3, PRKAG2, TRPS1 and GTF2I. They encode nutrient- and energy-sensing signaling kinases and transcription factors: AMPK gamma2 (PRKAG2), the CREB coactivator CRTC3, the glucose-sensing factor MLXIP and the PI3K-dependent kinase SGK3. The peripheral genes add a selective-autophagy arm: BNIP3L (mitophagy), NCOA4 (ferritinophagy), TBC1D14 (autophagy regulator) and HEXB (lysosomal hexosaminidase). The module is coherent and expressed uniformly across subsets. It most likely reflects a metabolic/autophagy homeostatic program in long, broadly expressed genes. It is related to neighbor M72 (ATG7, WDFY3), which suggests a shared autophagy/nutrient-sensing axis.
