Why this annotation
IL1B and OSM are canonical pro-inflammatory cytokines. IL1RN is the IL-1 receptor antagonist, co-induced with IL-1β. NLRP3 encodes the inflammasome sensor. PTGS2 (COX-2) produces prostaglandins downstream of inflammasome/IL-1 signaling. IER3, CSRNP1, EGR3, and TRIB1 are immediate-early/myeloid differentiation genes co-induced by inflammatory stimuli. SERPINB9 protects cells from granzyme-mediated death. IFRD1 and LPCAT1 support inflammatory lipid remodeling. This is a tightly coherent inflammasome and IL-1-driven cytokine secretion module, consistent with the batch neighborhood of NF-κB and myeloid activation modules.
