Why this annotation
ELMO1 and DOCK2 form a well-characterized bipartite Rac-GEF complex that is essential for neutrophil chemotaxis and phagocytosis by activating Rac1/Rac2. DOCK2 is particularly critical in hematopoietic cells for directed migration toward chemoattractants. VPS13B links vesicular trafficking to this program. KMT2C, NCOA2, CDK19, and STAG1 are transcriptional/chromatin regulators that may regulate expression of the migration machinery. The ELMO1-DOCK2 axis is the defining feature of this module.
