Why this annotation

HERPUD1 (homocysteine-inducible ER stress protein with ubiquitin-like domain) and DDIT3 (CHOP/GADD153) are canonical UPR/ER stress markers. DNAJB9 (ERdj4) is an ER-localized HSP40 co-chaperone induced by ER stress. CCPG1 is an ER-phagy receptor. DDIT4 (REDD1) is induced by ER stress and inhibits mTORC1. CEBPB is a transcription factor activated downstream of ER stress and DDIT3. BEX2 is stress-responsive. This module represents the ER stress/UPR program, complementing neighbor M48 (cytoplasmic HSP chaperones) — together they form the complete proteostasis stress response in igA plasma cells. The moderate coherence with weak memberships for DDIT4, DNAJB9, BEX2, CCPG1 suggests some peripheral members.
