Why this annotation
All genes are strongly enriched in pre_tuft cells. WLS (Wntless, required for WNT ligand secretion), RGMB (BMP co-receptor), TGIF1 (TGF-β/BMP repressor), and ETS2 define a WNT/BMP signaling program. ALDH1B1 and SFN mark progenitor/early differentiation states. KCNN4 is a canonical tuft cell marker. Together this module captures the WNT-secreting pre-tuft progenitor identity with BMP pathway modulation.
