Why this annotation
The module is defined by canonical Tc17 markers: KLRB1 (CD161, the definitive Tc17 surface marker), RORA (RAR-related orphan receptor alpha, a master Tc17 transcription factor), and IL17A (the defining Tc17 effector cytokine). PTGER4 (prostaglandin E2 receptor) promotes IL-17 production and is enriched in Tc17/Th17 environments. TMIGD2 is expressed on CD161+ gut T cells. NFKBIA links to NF-κB-driven IL-17 regulation. FKBP11 suggests active cytokine secretion (ER stress/UPR in secretory cells). The neighbor M85 (IEL/gut-resident) shares the gut intraepithelial context, and CD161 (KLRB1) bridges both programs.
