Why this annotation
The module mixes distal colonocyte identity genes with long neuronal genes. HSD11B2 (aldosterone-responsive sodium absorption), GPR15LG and GPR160 mark distal colonocytes. OSBPL8, GRIA4, PCLO, CNTN4 and PPP2R3A are long genes, and the neuronal ones are unexpected in epithelium, suggesting intronic capture. The long-gene component carries the hub gene (OSBPL8) and most members, consistent with its neighbors, so it is labelled an artifact with a distal colonocyte flavor.
