SCUBA

TPP2 — Tripeptidyl peptidase 2

TPP2 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 3 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function

Cytosolic tripeptidyl-peptidase that releases N-terminal tripeptides from polypeptides and is a component of the proteolytic cascade acting downstream of the 26S proteasome in the ubiquitin- proteasome pathway. It plays an important role in intracellular amino acid homeostasis. Stimulates adipogenesis (By similarity).
