Why this annotation
This module contains recognized mature absorptive enterocyte markers. SLC16A10 is an aromatic amino acid transporter and ABCG8 is a sterol efflux transporter. ANXA13, PIK3C2G and TCEA3 are enterocyte and colonocyte-enriched genes, and ANO6 is an apical scramblase. Long genes (TLN2, KAZN, RASGEF1B, WDR49) add some artifact contribution, and several members show only moderate membership. Even so, the transporter hubs indicate a genuine absorptive differentiation program.
