Why this annotation
ZNF683 (HOBIT) is a master transcription factor for tissue-resident lymphocytes (Trm, ILC, NK). CXCR1 and CXCR2 (IL-8 receptors) mark a distinct effector γδ T subset known to traffic to tissues and are expressed by Vδ2 and certain Vδ1 cells. SIGLEC9 and LAIR2 are inhibitory receptors expressed on NK and terminally differentiated T cells. PTGDS (prostaglandin D2 synthase) is expressed in tissue-resident lymphoid cells. AKR1C3 is associated with lipid metabolism in tissue-adapted lymphocytes. The very low pct positive (7.5%) and core coherence suggest this is a rare but tightly defined tissue-resident γδ T subset. The neighborhood context (cytotoxic/terminal differentiation modules) is consistent.
