Why this annotation

COX5A and COX17 are cytochrome c oxidase subunits (Complex IV of the electron transport chain). ATP5PF is a subunit of ATP synthase (Complex V). MRPL33 is a mitochondrial ribosomal protein. TSPO (translocator protein 18kDa) is an outer mitochondrial membrane protein involved in cholesterol import and mitochondrial function. ATP1B3 (Na/K-ATPase beta-3 subunit) is a plasma membrane pump but co-regulated here likely due to energy demand coupling. CALM1 (calmodulin) regulates mitochondrial function and energy metabolism. CAPZA2 (actin capping protein) is somewhat divergent. SRP14 (signal recognition particle 14) is involved in ER targeting but may be co-regulated due to mitochondrial-ER contact site biology. The dominant and most coherent program is mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, supported by multiple ETC components.
