Why this annotation
The module is dominated by canonical naive/central memory T cell transcription factors and surface markers: CCR7, SELL (CD62L), TCF7, LEF1, KLF2, KLF3, FOXP1 are all hallmarks of naive and central memory T lymphocytes. RASGRP2 supports T cell signaling in quiescent cells, RIPOR2 is involved in lymphocyte migration, SORL1 and LDLRAP1 support lipid/receptor recycling in quiescent lymphocytes, ATM supports DNA integrity in resting cells, FCMR marks naive B/T lymphocytes, and PLAC8 is expressed in memory T cells. This is one of the most canonical naive/central memory CD8 signatures possible, with core coherence and uniformly low mean expression consistent with a resting state.
