Why this annotation

This module contains NFKB1 (master innate immune transcription factor), CYBB (NOX2, NADPH oxidase component, myeloid/phagocyte oxidative burst), SAMHD1 (innate immune restriction factor, monocyte/myeloid), CCR2 (monocyte chemokine receptor), TLR10 (pattern recognition receptor), RNASE6 (antimicrobial RNase expressed in myeloid cells), and PLD4 (endosomal nuclease, innate immune sensor). Together these genes define an innate myeloid/monocyte immune program. FXYD7, TNNI2, KIF17, SLC4A3, KCNC3, and CUX2 are more unusual in this context but the dominant hub genes strongly support myeloid innate immunity. Very low mean expression (0.024) and 1.7% pct positive suggest a rare myeloid-primed HPC subpopulation or low-level priming. The module is a topological neighbor of M13, which shows lymphoid/T-cell markers, suggesting these two modules capture bifurcating lymphoid vs. myeloid developmental trajectories from HPC.
