Why this annotation
TRBC2 (T-cell receptor beta constant 2) is a definitive T cell marker absent from NK cells. SKAP1 (Src kinase-associated phosphoprotein 1) is a T cell-specific adaptor protein critical for TCR signaling. LSP1 is expressed in T and B lymphocytes. Together with neighbor M5 (which contains TRAC), this module clearly represents T cell contamination signal co-expressed with some general lymphocyte genes (LSP1, HMOX2, CD151). The low mean expression and uniform distribution across subsets is consistent with ambient RNA or rare T cell doublets.
