Why this annotation
NCR2 (NKp44) is a defining activating receptor of tissue-resident NK cells, particularly ILC1/NK cells in the intestine. ITGAE (CD103, integrin alphaE) is the canonical tissue-residency marker for intraepithelial lymphocytes and tissue-resident NK cells. S1PR3 promotes tissue retention by opposing S1P-driven egress. CAMK4 mediates calcium-dependent NK activation signaling. UBASH3B is an inhibitory phosphatase modulating NK activation thresholds. GPR34 and GPR55 are GPCRs expressed on tissue-resident immune cells. MYO1E supports cytoskeletal dynamics during tissue residency. The very low expression (7% positive) suggests a rare tissue-resident NK subset. Upregulation in CD inflammation is consistent with intestinal NK tissue residency.
