Why this annotation
The module contains a canonical set of Type I interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs): IFIT3, IFIT2, MX1, MX2, OAS3, OASL, ISG15, IFI44L, GBP1, TAP1, APOL6, BATF2, PARP14, CXCL10. Core coherence and near-universal core/strong membership confirm a tightly co-regulated program. CXCL10 is also IFN-γ-inducible but is a well-established ISG. NUAK2 is the only outlier. Upregulated in both UC and CD inflammation, suppressed in remission. This is the prototypical Type I interferon response in intestinal fibroblasts.
