Why this annotation
Strong germinal center / follicular B-cell program. Hub and member genes include BCL6 (master GC transcription factor), S1PR2 and P2RY8 (GC confinement GPCRs), BACH2 (B-cell fate transcription factor), MSI2, NR3C1, and chromatin regulators BPTF/MBD4. The combination of BCL6, S1PR2, P2RY8, BACH2 is a textbook germinal center B-cell signature. Significant induction with inflammation in UC/CD. Uniform expression among B cells, consistent with a GC B-cell state, not contamination.
