AK3 — Adenylate kinase 3
AK3 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 2 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function
Mitochondrial adenylate kinase with a specific GTP:AMP phosphotransferase activity. Could also use ITP as phosphate donor. Its physiological function is to recycle GTP into GDP which is necessary for the TCA cycle in the mitochondrial matrix (Probable).
