Why this annotation

This is the most coherent OXPHOS module in the batch. Hub genes ATP5MG and ATP5MF are ATP synthase (Complex V) subunits; UQCR11 and UQCR10 are Complex III subunits; NDUFA4 and NDUFA1 are Complex I/IV-associated subunits; COX4I1, COX6B1, and COX7C are Complex IV (cytochrome c oxidase) subunits; SLC25A5 (ANT2) is the mitochondrial ADP/ATP translocator. Together these span Complexes I, III, IV, and V — the full electron transport chain and ATP synthesis machinery. BTF3, EIF3K, ARPC3, NACA, POLR2L, and EEF1B2 are peripheral housekeeping genes co-regulated with the OXPHOS program. Uniform expression across all subsets is consistent with constitutive mitochondrial respiration in macrophages.
