Why this annotation
WAS (Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome protein) is a master regulator of actin nucleation in lymphocytes. WDR1 activates cofilin-mediated actin depolymerization. CAPZB caps barbed ends of actin filaments. CAP1 and DBNL are actin-binding proteins. RHOA drives cytoskeletal reorganization. LSP1 is a lymphocyte-specific F-actin binding protein. Together these genes form a coherent actin cytoskeletal remodeling program in T cells, consistent with immune synapse formation or migration.
