Why this annotation

ENG (endoglin) is a TGF-β co-receptor expressed on activated macrophages and endothelial cells, marking tissue-remodeling macrophages. ACP5 (TRAP/tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase) is a hallmark of osteoclasts and inflammatory tissue-destructive macrophages. FABP5 marks inflammatory/lipid-loaded macrophages. MMP19 is a matrix metalloprotease involved in tissue invasion and remodeling. BCAT1 (branched-chain aminotransferase 1) is upregulated in inflammatory macrophages. SPHK1 (sphingosine kinase 1) drives pro-inflammatory sphingosine-1-phosphate signaling. IL10 (anti-inflammatory cytokine) may represent a counter-regulatory signal. MCOLN1 (mucolipin-1) is lysosomal. LDLRAD4 participates in TGF-β signaling. Low expression/detection but strongly inflammation-associated in IBD. This module resembles a tissue-destructive, osteoclast-like inflammatory macrophage program active in IBD mucosa.
