Why this annotation
Hub genes are basement-membrane and adhesion components (COL18A1, LAMA5, ITGA3, ITGB5) combined with canonical mural/pericyte identity genes (CSPG4/NG2, ANGPT1, LRRC32/GARP, ENTPD1, ACAN, SUSD2). This is the pericyte-like mural program of investing the endothelial basement membrane rather than a fibrillar-collagen fibrotic program. Uniform expression and coherent 'strong' membership argue against contamination; it is a bona fide mural cell-state module, and it is topologically adjacent to M73 (PDGFRB/HEYL pericyte module), which supports the pericyte/mural interpretation.
