DOCK11 — Dedicator of cytokinesis 11

DOCK11 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 4 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function

Guanine nucleotide-exchange factor (GEF) that activates CDC42 by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Required for marginal zone (MZ) B-cell development, is associated with early bone marrow B-cell development, MZ B-cell formation, MZ B-cell number and marginal metallophilic macrophages morphology (By similarity). Facilitates filopodia formation through the activation of CDC42.
