SCUBA

CEP350 — Centrosomal protein 350

CEP350 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 5 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function

Plays an essential role in centriole growth by stabilizing a procentriolar seed composed of at least, SASS6 and CPAP. Required for anchoring microtubules to the centrosomes and for the integrity of the microtubule network. Recruits PPARA to discrete subcellular compartments and thereby modulates PPARA activity. Required for ciliation.
