ADGRG5 — Adhesion G protein-coupled receptor G5

ADGRG5 belongs to a gene co-expression module in 5 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function

Orphan adhesion G-protein coupled receptor (aGPCR). Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of downstream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. ADGRG5 is specifically coupled to G(s) G proteins and mediates activation of adenylate cyclase activity
