RHOU — Ras homolog family member U
RHOU belongs to a gene co-expression module in 7 of 28 SCUBA cell types. Each module groups genes that rise and fall together in that cell type; the genes it shares a module with are its closest co-expression partners there.

Function
Binds to and activates protein kinase PAK1. Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology, cytoskeletal organization and focal adhesion assembly during cell migration. Also stimulates quiescent cells to reenter the cell cycle. Has no detectable GTPase activity but its high intrinsic guanine nucleotide exchange activity suggests it is constitutively GTP-bound.
